Hello there.
Since Rotella T6 is just about impossible to find, has anybody got an opinion on
T5 semi synthetic ? I'd be most interested in people who have actually used it.

I tried it a few years ago and didn't like the clunky shifting. For me personally as I'm sure there are other quality brands Motul 7100 is my go to oil now. Ivan rode my bike a few years ago after flashing it and came back saying how smooth it shifted.

The guy I ride with uses Rotella 15w40 dino oil in his ZRX with 140,000 miles on it. He bought it with 30,000 miles so 110,000 miles on Rotella. He also has a FJR that he uses the same oil in and always on the go.

Gonna be kinda hard to convince him that Rotella may not be a good oil.

He has just bought a Harley so I cannot wait to see what he uses.

Fast forward to last week. Finally got around to changing the oil. I used Rotella T5 semi synthetic.
Bike feels good. Shifting is maybe a tiny bit less smooth than with T6 but ill take it.
