Grn, it's pretty much a pandemic. You can watch it on youtube. I've seen more than my share of constitutional rights abuse. Takes awhile to look up things like 'qualified immunity' and the round of misfeasance, non, and mal. Use freedictionary.com, click legal definitions for all this.

If you didn't know your rights, they'd jack you up, but once you clue them in and mention rights, they back off. And most don't know they are getting baited or the video is pointless.

New Zealand has been drawn into all of this mess.
Yesterday I was in town and there was a black lives matter protest on the beach of around 200 people (to their credit they were completely peaceful).
Now our police force are being de-armed from certain weapons due to what is currently happening.

What the hell is going on with this world?
These do gooders and the politically correct are killing us all!

- Of course black lives matter, but surely all lives matter more.
- All police forces have good and bad just like any other institution. Deal with the problems which is a challenge in itself but don't penalise the good cops that do an incredible job every day protecting us all.
- If a state, city or district does not have the resources to stop the criminal aspect of society doing great damage, causing substantial unrest, and putting the innocent at risk, why is it an issue to bring in the national guard?
- And if this criminal aspect hinder any force trying to maintain peace and order such as throwing rocks and bricks, why are they given any credibility or defence at all?
- How is it an innocent retired police captain killed trying to protect is yesterdays news, but a criminal killed in an unfortunate way is made into a martyr?
- Defund or disband the police in communities? Is this a sick joke, a bad dream or both???
- In no way am I condoning the death of George Floyd or any others like him, nor am I saying any of them deserved to lose their lives in the way they did, but how come the vast majority of the cases where people have lost their lives at the hands of bad cops are themselves criminals who put themselves in positions of being dealt with by the law and this never seems to be considered or mentioned?
- How can violence, public / private desecration of property, and looting ever be justified, no matter what the cause?
- Why are public officials and the well known stoking the unrest with their discourse rather than trying to calm the situation.
- And now some are washing strangers feet in an attempt for a positive contribution to this situation?

I never thought I'd say this but forget any sort of future climate or environmental issues we have in this world.
We have far greater challenges with each other.

I fear greatly for all of our grandchildren and the world we are leaving them.

I have absolutely no issue with anyone who doesn't agree with me.
You have every right to your opinion and believe what you will.
And maybe I am completey wrong.

But if you feel I should not have said any of the above because it offends or upsets you I will leave you with a few simple choice words.
