So got a break in the clouds all my riding buddies were busy so I geared up and headed out. First to Pomares Rd. It was surprisingly clean. A bit of mud and gravel here and there. Connected with Niles Canyon to Sunol. I remembered that Calaveras Rd had reopened after 2 years so decided to check it out. What a surprise. Brand new, fresh , creamy asphalt. Calaveras is super tight, mostly 1 lane but, since there was virtually no traffic I had fun throwing the beast around. I turned around at the county line where the pavement goes to crap. Ended up back in Sunol at Cafe Bella for a coffee and chocolate croissant. It was a short ride but a blast.

Cafe Bella does weddings. Every couple who gets married there gets a brass plaque put on that wall.
