Poor man's Akrapovic
09/22/10 2:10 PM

Ok, so I've sat down with the numbers and simply cannot justify spending $1800 on an Akrapovic 4-2-1, especially considering I'll need a Power Commander to tweak the new exhaust system. So, I'm thinking the next best thing that won't break the bank would be a Tsukigi's 4-2-1. I'd like to stay under a grand if at all possible. Anyone else?

Keep checking this website, lots of good deals on ZX14 exhaust.

I would go with a Muzzy system its going to make power just like the 1800 Akra system. The Akra might have pretty welds and a nice name and may be ever so slightly lighter but we are talking a about a 550lb bike 3-4 pounds means nothing. Muzzy becuse its inexpensive, easy and cheap to get a new can if you lay the bike down and makes powers. Once you have the muzzy header on you can use there short M10 can or use a long can or carbon etc. The are all over Ebay cheap

orient express has a full ti and a stainless ti 4-2-1 that start around 400 and go up to 800 on sale..mine has a perfect fit, sounds great, makes very good torque accross the curve and nice peak power.

I've had many exhausts, brocks (alien head, and sidewinder), muzzys (m10, and m14 prostock sidewinder), tsukigi, and orient express. For the street, the Orient Express is the nicest. And it has a very competitive price. Note, the Orient Express low mount is made by Ti-Force.
