NM to Oregon Trip; Rides and Pickleball Input Please!
06/18/21 8:52 AM

Hi,
I am contemplating an adventure from ABQ NM where I live, to the Oregon/Washington State area. I am looking for input on rides that I might include along the way or somewhat on the way. I have also become an avid pickleball player and looking to play along the way. My goal is to make friends and perhaps do some rides and play some pickleball along the way. Any input would be great, thanks in advance!!!!!

Assume you are not looking for the fastest I40 W slab to Commiefornica. I would head S to Silver City NM and take either 180 NM or 191 AZ N to AZ 260 W. Both are great roads. 260 W all the way to Cottonwood AZ then 89 N thru Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. Oak Creek can be somewhat jammed with RVs so try to get on it Monday or Tue am. At the I40 slab fast W toward Commiefornica but go N on the 93 to Lost Wages. Stop in Pahrump for a shower and a happy ending. Thru Western CA desert in to Death Valley to US 395 N along the Eastern Sierra Nevada range. Cross over on the pass 120 W thru Yosemite or one of the passes N of 120 across the Sierra's. From there 49 N as far as you want to go and then cross over to the coast on 20 W.

Thanks for the info! I will take a look at the route. I have been on some of those roads. I was thinking about taking a northerly route to avoid some of the heat but I may just wait until it’s cooler, thanks and I can’t get on

Also check out ADV PULSE.com 5 reasons to put the lewis and clark trail on your bucket list.

Theres still plenty of adventure to be had 200 years after the historic journey.
