External Fuel Pump
05/04/15 9:55 AM

Hello ZX14 friends,

I purchased a Turbo kit for my ZX14 and the project is going well, I wish I did this over the winter and not now but oh well the Turbo bug bitten me. Anyway my question for those of you that have a Turbo on your ZX14, where did you guys installed the external fuel pump.

My Turbo instructions recommend to install the pump on the right side of the bike under the tank but by the rear brake cylinder assembly, but provide just one very vague picture that really doesn't show how was attached to the bike. It included a bracket that need to be bolt in to the bike and is calling for bolt that need to be drill and tap to the bike but again doesn't show you where.

Could any of you Turbo guys be so kind to provide a good picture or better suggestions on where I can install this pump, please.

Thank you,

Hector

Congrats on your turbo.
Everyone will have a different setup and I'm no expert. Had high pressure hoses supplied with my purchase so i had to make the best with what i had. Had to push things outside since dont have enough room, and fuel pressure reg. For easy access.
Here are the pics..

So to clarify a few thing, that is a regular hose coming off the fuel tank. All others are high pressure. I would like to make a bracket for the fuel pressure regulator and a few other improvements, but thats it for now. Hope this helps a little.

Knovikov

Fuel line routing looks like a accident waiting to happen without a chain guard.

Thanks Jetfxr320
I got one installed yesterday. From what i have read, the fuel pressure regulator needs to go after the fuel rail. However some have posted that they have good results with a setup like mine. With the problem being more fuel pressure fluctuations. Which is what I've been getting. Gloshift is sending me a new sensor to try. Hope that works better.

If you have any suggestions they are greatly appreciated
