20w50

I just bought 4 quarts of mobil1 10w40 but with the south georgia heat I was considering taking it back and getting the 20w50 vtwin oil. Anyone using 20w50? If so is there any more start up noise? The heat has been around 100 with heat indexes over and its only going to get worse.

No oil is going to kill the bike. I have so many weights, it does not matter really. Pour.

I run the 20-50 V-twin in the summer here in Phoenix, But I might see 118 degree day here. I'm sure the 10-40 will be fine for you. Use a M110 filter also.

Buck, it has been over 100 here for the last week and for the next couple of months it will not be unusual to see heat indexes of 110-115. Thats why I was wondering about changing to the 20w50. I run the supertech 7313 filter and have used it on every bike I had owned for the last several years. Great filter for $2.50.

0W-20 Alisyn Synthetic Oil
SKU: 790102
Choose your desired Oil Weight and product number:

We recommend the following-

Less than Zero:PN7041-stock engine/race use

0W-20:PN7091-stock engine/hot climate

10W-30:PN7011-normally aspirated-1397cc.

15W-40:PN8000-nitrous, turbos, strokers

20W-50:PN7071-turbo, strokers

Alisyn synthetic motor oils are blended to give the highest possible performance, regardless of cost. They use expensive ingredients that make it impossible to compete, based on cost, with most other motor oils on the market. Alisyn motor oils are designed for high performance race engines, not the small test engines used for API certification. The use of Alisyn oil will cut internal frictional losses by almost half compared to other synthetics. This translates directly to less wear, more power, and better fuel economy.

It's a mobile1 filter part number. The M110 is the longer filter (same length as the K&N 303) and the M108 is the short (same as oem) filter. They can be purchased at any automotive parts store for around $10. I've used them for years.

The top line makes so much sense as does the second weight scale, 0W-20. Someone used zero weight and was clearly the fastest [stock] bike. The article also stated the guy pulled the stock air cleaner pleats apart and a cheater air trick so silly slick was that air.

So, if they make less than 0W for a stock, wink-wink, track-bike, drag bike, street racer is a case'r two. Then again, look at that insurance [in weight] you have turbo, stroker, stroking those crank bearings. Do I mix a straight 50 in my oil change video? Could I get away with 0W? I'm getting away with so many mixes and blends, are we only after a clean crankcase that extends bearing longevity?

I think I mentioned this before, but needs repeating: After a NASCAR 500 race, the oil thickens almost heading in the direction like STP. I too, have seen oil thicken, being around engines most of my life.

Is that the stuff Brock uses on his customers! Because I would not put 0 weight oil in my gear box.
