Finally got around to fitting the lowering links and the Brocks front strap brackets.
Was pretty straight forward.
2 Jacks got it done without the need for extra hands.
This is easy done with these pipes. With Stock pipes you would need to drop the RH Side.
Remove the belly pan and bracket.

Pop a jack under the rear tail. And one under the shock.
Put some pressure on both jacks. Undo Stock Dog Bones Bolts.
You will feel the bolts loosen when you have set up the jack combination correct and they will just pull out without force.

This is a Soupy kit sold in Australia by Rated R.
The L Hand Thread Notches go to the top swing arm mount. Locktite The threads.
Spacers go to the bottom shock mount with the new bolt and nut.

The only thing needed was a small washer behind the new lower bolt to allow for a spanner to be fitted to the head to allow tightening. I used a Spark Plug Washer as it was a perfect fit.
Make sure you use some thread locker of some description.
The lower jack can be lowered or raised to line up the new links. Mine where already set around an Inch lower.
So the jack on the floor had to be lowered to line up the bolts.
Also fitted the front radial kit from Brocks while I was at it.

She also copped a bit of Yoshi Bling that adds weight I know but looks good.

Rolled her out for a quick pose.

I'm yet to ride it.
I've driven it and loved it.
Swore I would be back with the bikes.
If you haven't tried the drags. Come have a go. Cheap off road fun.

Its been a bit of a let down so far on the 1/4.
It goes exactly like the first Aussie stock press bikes would.
Best is a 10.26 at 140.
Waiting to find out if the safety maps are completely dormant.
Cheers

Sounds down on power a little, I'm no good at the drags (on a bike anyways) and I weigh 260lbs, but I still managed a best of 10.5 @ 143 on mine at stock height.

I 'll get to the bottom of it eventually.

Have you ever had it on a dyno for a run stock?.

I'm sure the US and Canadian bikes are one in the same..

You guys might have the AU EU KPH Readout.. I think.

For those of you who installed the radiator guard how did you secure the top of the guard?

I removed the top edge 'edge guards' right where the bent over tabs slide over the rad lip up top.Slipped the tabs over that lip...pulled down a bit to seat em...then attached at the lower rad bracket.I think the instructions call for zip ties up there?Couldn't see those lasting very long;)Mine has a bent over edge going along the top of it(the guard)...so Just took a screwdriver and opened that up a bit to fit over the radiator lip.Slightly bent the guard to match the contour of the radiator face...that was it...fit snug and perfecto.

Cool thanks Grn14. I have zip ties on at the moment and I question that for the long haul.

The one shown in this thread uses the top fan bracket mounts on both sides.
You remove the stock bolt and thread clip as well as the pinch weld on both sides and use the nut and bolt provided.
The one used here is from Rad Guard in Australia.
Hope that helps.
I'm not sure how long a cable tie will last with the heat in there.

Hey 1400R, great pics. I'm late to this party but just going over old threads because there isn't enough to keep up my appetite for regular new posts!

I'm from Sydney and have contemplated the Bike Nights at Eastern Creek. Been as a spectator a couple of times and would like to have a go. I've noticed quite a few do what I would, get off the line slowish and then go. I guess, like I would, to save cogs and chains, and embarrassment at flipping it. But I imagine even a slow get away then hammer would still be fun even if it isn't going to get the best times.
