Why is it there if all it does is turn your brights on?

"So by god you can kiss my butt I'm not moving now."
You do that here, that says, 'inpeading even if you are both speeding, you hang up someone that wants to pass you, you get the ticket for inpeading, now you can kiss the ass of justice.' You control freaks!

Well I always have my brights on and would use this to signal drivers like on a side street that could pull in front of me - hey im here. Safety thing. So for me I would like this to turn OFF brights when I use this - but it doesnt work. Anyone have any idea how I could rewire this to do that?

[b]Using it to say "I'm here" could be taken the wrong way. The car driver might think "Hey, he is telling me to go ahead". I wouldn't do that if I were you.

Agreed, especially since they rarely realize how close we are. When passing thru an intersection with a car waiting for me i ALWAY give tehm a head nod, " Thank you for not killing me" sort of thing.

The Hayabusa has a built in Pass button. I use it at intersections.
If you identify the ground wire from each light socket, you could cut and solder in wires that go to a momentary switch on your handlebar. Dynojet has a good handlebar switch bracket usually used for a map switch. If you don't want to cut, you could use positaps.
Otherwise, why not cool up some LEDs? I like the Wig-Wagger I have. I have not used it on the bike yet but it has good reviews. Powers up to 50 LEDs or something like that. There is also a Fast-Wagger. The wigwagger flashes 3x/second on each channel. The Fast wagger flashes 4x/second on each channel. Similar. The fast is probably a bit more eye catching.
Maybe you will actually get drivers to pull over for you so you can pass safely!

Over here a headlight flash can mean “hey, I’ve seen you and you can pull out” or “you have right of way”
Coming up behind someone and flashing them to move over is seen as impatience and bad form and just pisses them off.

Why do you ride with full beams on? Dazzling oncoming vehicles is irresponsible and dangerous to yourself and others unless you have the beams aimed real low which renders them useless at night. JMO

I also ride with my brights on at all times, "Fuck'em"
If someone flashes me because I have them on, I think well at
least they see me. Still don't turn them off.
Most car/motorcycle collisions you'll hear the driver
of the car say "I didn't see him", Not he blinded me with
his brights.

Yeah, great attitude. Many modern cars trucks etc, have some pretty formidable HID/LED lighting. You just gotta hope that the guy you dazzle coming the other way doesn't also think "F**k him" and hit you with a billion lumens and you can't see JS.

That there is an impleadable offense, I believe. It falls in that same freedom of movement. It's impeding your right to walk. Not bump into things and injure yourself caused by someone sticking a flashlight in your face like a cop might deliberately do.
