2006 ZX-14 $2,900 OBO

In San Jose, CA.
Bought new in 2006, used as my daily driver for 10+ years. Never crashed (see below).

Good:
* Generally good condition
* Full Race Tech fork and shock rebuild in 2012
* Corbin seat
* Oxford heated hand-grips
* New-ish Michelin Road 4 tires
* Comes with new chain and rear sprocket ready to install
* Comes with some spare bodywork and other parts

Bad:
* 70K miles
* Engine is starting to use a little oil
* Needs valve check/adjustment
* Probably needs new cam chain and/or tensioner
* Brakes will be a project. Comes with two sets of calipers and hoses and probably some other parts.
* You should look at this as a project bike. Make me an offer.

In good condition, with a couple of caveats. The front brakes need attention. They've been an issue with the bike (chatter) since it was new. The only setup that actually worked was a set of modified Hayabusa calipers with BrakeTech cast iron rotors. Those finally wore out, so it has a set of (chatter-y) used stock rotors now, but it's up to you to find something else that works.
The bike fell off its side stand while parked twice. The first time was my fault. The second time was the fault of a young woman who's insurance company fixed all the damage from both tip-overs. I've got the old parts and will include them with the bike.

Every single "issue" you mentioned is normal for the 14. Oil use = new head cover gasket, valve check = yeah you probably should do it and change valve cover gasket at the same time, cam chain tensioner rattle = just put an APE on when you do the valve clearance check or live with it rattling at startup, brake chatter at low speed = try some other kind of pad, fell on side twice = who the heck hasn't done that in 10 years? Good luck. Sounds like a good deal for someone who wants to perform a little work on the bike. My 08 has 50k miles and still running strong.

Great Price. If somebody buys it I have almost everything you would need to run the 1/4 mile faster.
