Blkcasper that is so cool, A Rickey gadson tune, hes so awesome..
Does the Gadson tune have a pit lane limiter ? The woolich doesnt have that and the guy set my launch at 6k rpm.
I tried a launch at 6 thou rpm and it was just arms legs and boobs going every where, I think 3 thou rpm is better.
Whats yours set at ? Oh and has the 1/2" Lowering effected the handling, Im short and can barely touch the ground.

Maddy, I actually purchased the bike from him with less than 1k miles on it. There is no pit lane or speed limiter. You can set the stock RPM launch lite. 3k rpm is about where you want to start a launch from. 6K for a beginner is way to high. Most launch at 3k to start. As far as lowering the bike there are a number of things that need to be done. front and rear need to be adjusted that same, suspension needs to be reset up, ride height , sag ,ect.
As far as handling you will loose 1.5 - 2 inches of ground clearance, so large pot holes, speed bumps ect, need to be careful of. You will also have to modify or get a shorter kick stand. it will corner about the same but you loose ground clearance so thigs will rub on tight 20-40 mph corners, long mid sweepers no problem,. Other things you can do at stock height would be to have the seat cut down and reshaped, that would also lower u in the seat about 1 1.5 inches.

Thanks Blkcasper
I think getting the seat modded is the best idea :-)

RIP [rest in proton] is my 8 year old OEM battery. Battery came dry, so I went thru the routine above. Could finally see the results of my own junk science. Yes, I kept it charged when needed. Or, maybe it's an average life? I know the dealer is not about to prep it the above way so I assume most here had a wet&wire installation.

So the guess on a w&w v. 3x's-charm, are we looking at 5yr v. 8yr or is 8 the average?

I would say five or six years is more the average, Hub. My 14's dealer prep battery lasted 2 years. My busa's battery is still going and this will be year 11. I think it has a lot to do with the luck of the draw because I doubt any dealer does the oil and vinegar mix you described back on page 1. The little Shorai in the 14 is 10 years old.
