****Looking for new exhaust****
01/01/11 4:27 PM

Looking for an exhaust systems for the 09 zx 14. I have it narrowed down to 3 choices:

I have added a PC-5.
I'm looking for maps for the exhaust for

voodoo exhaust and PC-5 map
Muzzy M10 Series and PC-5 map
Brocks Short Megaphone and PC-5 map

I want something that makes decent power.

Thanks!

I'd go with a Brock's short meg. That's the one that wins races for our bike.. ---mapping support is great I hear. Actually, I'd probably get the Alien head before the short meg. REALLY--the Brock's CT is the way to go.

Voodoo is just for loudness and looks, I have always heard.

The most horsepower for a stock ZX14 (only mods PC and exhaust system) comes with a Brock's CT-DUAL exhaust system.

The Muzzy makes great power, also.

Loud pipes are for dweebs or actual racers.

Something about the Alien head....wasn't sure . I went with the short meg with red plate. Either is fantastic.

I would take either one. Both excellent choices.

Hey Rook, nice to see a familiar face!! Lookin' around in here, I see quite a few familiars -- cool, should've signed up on this forum a long time ago!!
Oh, I have the Street Meg system on mine and really love it, but my neighbors don't like it at 5am throughout the week ;)

The voodoo is a nice looking setup and its cheap in comparison to the others. However like those have said already the brocks is supposed to be a great system for power/sound.

I myself might get a voodoo because of the cost factor.

will I need a power commander if I get a full exhaust system? I don't need alot of noise and am leaning towards the yoshi R77. Just seems pricey for a cheap guy like me. I like the price of the voodoo pipes but how loud are they?

just listened to a sound clip of the voodoos. sound great but think they are to loud for me

The R77 would be great for what you're looking for. A power commander would make a big difference in performance...
