That sure is a nice road. I notice the speed limit sign said 55. It seems like you were going at a moderate pace. What was the air temp? It has really changed to fall quickly here in western WA. Went out for a couple of hours yesterday but it was a bit chilly, temp maybe 50. There was some ice in the early morning. Thanks for posting your video.

2fast.. Not sure of speed but pretty slow compared to most guys I ride with , rather, use to ride with.. I pretty much ride alone now as I have picked up too many riders . Also eyes are bad , catarct surgery coming up but for now ,it makes transitioning into teh shadows difficult. That was about ten am and it was maybe low 60s when I left my house . That road starts twisting about 40 miles from home

There's nothing wrong with riding a sane speed and enjoying the scenery. I do the same. If it is any encouragement I had cataract surgery in both eyes about 8 tears ago. My vision became the best it probably has ever been, at least until a detached retina a few years back. I can still see OK to ride if I take it easy and avoid night riding. I have the same problem with transition from sun to shadows, esp in curves. The internal sun visor in my helmet is the cat's meow as it allows me to flip up the visor before entering a curve and then put it down again after entering the straight and the sun.

I have one of those helmets . Unfortunately, it is not a very good fit for me so it sits on a shelf..How did teh Retina problem come about?

yup yup, dont get any better then that Charley. Everytime ive rode in the sierras it is always good. Do you pack any heat? I would guess you do a 357 magnum. also thank you for bringing us along on your rides and sharing the scenery. always nice riding in the shade in the summer time. Them pine trees smell good.

This a great time of year to ride in Northern California . A bit chilly sometimes in the early morning hours but heated gear covers that problem easily. I enjoy putting videos up. Not real good at it but it saves teh day for me when I can no longer ride ..wait...I meant to say , when I choose not to ride for some reason :)..
Ever since Rob Kope was murdered on his way home from my place I have carried . Rob was one of teh nicest guys I have ever met. Rode alone a lot altho he and I put in a few miles together He was murdered down by Sonora . Sheriff figured it was local drug gang..They left him laying in teh brush and tried to ride his bike away but crashed it 100 yds into a ditch..As to what I carry ? It depends on where I am going and for how long..From my KHAR .380 to my S&W Shield 9mm..The Ruger .357 is too big physically for me comfortably, on teh bike Sheriffs office interviewed me and later I realized is was to eliminate me as a suspect since I was teh last to talk to Rob. I told teh Detective that legal or not, it was teh last time I rode without a weapon . He had no comment.. I would loive to have a couple of scumbags pull me over...
