TOOLS
- pliers
- flat screwdirver
- some grease

1. using pliers, screwdriver or a combination of both remove the circlip on the lower part of the footpeg braket holding the pin.

2. after u remove the circlip, remove the pin and hold the footpeg in place.

3. after u remove the pin, pull the footpeg asambly straght out making sure u dont loose any of the components specially the little stell ball or the spring as u need to reuse them.

4. clean the plate with holes, stell ball, and spring and use a little amount of grease on the spring and ball, and replace on the lower hole of the new footpeg, and install.

5. make sure it moves freely to the up and down position and stays in place, if so do the same on the other side and u have a new good looking set of pegs that u can enjoy.

Nice if you need to carruy a passenger but Oi rather just get rid of them. Saves a ~ lb and a half.

BTW, those kind of pegs are an excellent and economical way to replace ZX-14 pilot pegs too. I have found the Vortex rearsets many of us use to gain very little in height and rearward position clearance. The main reason Vortex give you more clearance is because the pegs are a lot shorter (protrude about an inch less) than OEM.

The wedge shaped underside of your pegs is a simple but very effective way to gain a half inch of height. You could also cut them shorter if you were really serious hard cornering.
