I have a 2008 that did the front lever bleed down. All one had to do was open the mc bleeder and pull the lever 1 time and close the bleeder then brakes for another week or so. No problem just order new innards for the mc and life should be good. The innards is pretty much 1 pc already assembled so it is a simple fix.
I must have done a good job because now the lever is right on the edge where there is almost no play with the lever on position 6. It rolls around free as can be but way to touchy to ride.

Might have to work on a new fix..................

That sounds perfect to me. Touchy is good, you just need a light touch!
