Buddy of mine just married his girl friend because he wants to retire and she is a teacher. Guess what ... the teacher and her husband get free health care for life when she retires at 55 with 100% of her salary as pension.

shoulda become a teacher, dammit! If you can survive the first few years making almost enough to pay your bills and then get a masters degree, it can pay pretty nice eventually. even though the benefits are decreasing, still the best deal offered to any employees. also, there is no better job to have if you have a family. that's why people become teachers. Never heard of anyone collecting their salary from a pension but that's pretty awesome if it's possible. Also, if you have good kids, it's the easiest fucking job in the world. Don't tell 'em I told you so.
