I've only been to 135-140 and that was without realizing it! I was heading home after a 2hr stint and wanted to get by a few cages who were doing a fair job of taking up most of the road - doing about 70mph. I threaded through them and wondered why my exit was coming up so fast! Looked down and I was at about 135 and climbing pretty damn fast. Grabbed a couple of fingers worth of front brake and dove onto the exit real quick! A little hairy, but fun as hell! Love this thing!!!!

I've "hypothetically" topped out almost every vehicle I've ever owned. I "fantasized" about doing 145 in the '77 280z, getting all 4 wheels off the ground topping a hill while showing off to my soon to be wife. I could only "dream" of 150 on my '76 KZ900, or 170 on my '86 Ninja 900. I "wished" I could top out the '90 ZX11 at a corrected 185, and then 175 with the wife on the '94 ZX11, because she wanted to see what it felt like. If only she'd get hooked and want to do it 4 more times. I "wonder" if my VR4 would reach it's 165 rated top speed. I'd be "amazed" if I could top out the ZX14. The scariest I could "imagine" would be to hit the top speed of 78 in my '69 ford falcon back when I was 22. What a death trap! Living in the sticks "might" have it's advantages.

lol. Great topic. I am surprised some of you managed to keep it under 150. I mean you get there so fast it s too tempting. My 06 14 is my first bike period, in high school I rode scooters lol. My max is between 150 and 165, I went pass 150 for sure but was to scare to look down again lol. There is just something about her when she gets around 10 000 rpm. At this speed LE let you go because they know it'll be dangerous to chase but watch out for that plane or helicopter. I don't remember what state but they actually picked up a guy after he got home. loool he was watching himself on tv when the cops showed up loool

No dont matter if they do check up here cause it's all """""""HYPOTHETICALY""""" Right ?

yes and I try to sell my bike from time to time and let perspective buyers do test runs. Have often snuck a camera on the bike without telling them. Those perspective buyers are crazy. That is why I never sell her, I guess .

My corvette 6 speed is nice, my vulcan 1500 is comfortable, my zx14 is a freaking MONSTER.

On the ground, I guess I've come close to 150 MPH (under controlled conditions of course).

In the air I've hit mach 2. I splurged once and rode the Concorde to London.

I did 150 on my first mustang (87 LX 5.0), 140 on my 03 cobra in third gear nearing redline (it is a 6 speed), and 120 on the zx14, nearing redline in second. I wanted to shift and go faster, but I didn't have the nerve to shift gears.

"Indicated" speeds I've done is 180ish a few times, but when I have the Lead Wrist and Iron Fist in me from time to time, I make a habit of running 4th to the limiter - I'm thrilled that ECTA is coming to Wilmington Ohio 2012 for some LSR action!! Gonna be sweet to run flatout on a closed mile runway, and I'm hoping to hit the 190's ( since I already know I'm too chubby to reach the 200mph club )and I have no plans to over-mod the bike beyond streetability for this, so I'll take the numbers I can get with it as is :) Anyone else coming to run theirs next year??

Purchased my 14 July 08. Never could get it past 155 MPH. Around July 09 I realized the problem, I was only running on 3 cylinders. Apparently a mouse molested my 14 before I purchased it. After I got that fixed took it to its max. never did it again!!!!!!!!!!

I once upon I time I hypothetically hit 178. Was a bit pissed at an R6. Wanted him BAD. Rationality kicked in, and I slowed my butt to the curb. Took Girlfriend almost 10 minutes to catch me waiting on side of hwy for her. Rush? Hell yes. Stupid? One of the worse for me.

Took almost 30 min for the adrenaline rush to leave. Mentally wiped out also. this was on a highway with Churchgoers being released for the day. Splitting lanes in the trips was nuts.

I've been clocked by a S. Carolina state trooper in a pursuit camaro at 141 in a 70. I was such a dumbass squid when I was in my early 20's! hahaha
