Urgent or not
07/20/20 2:32 PM

Hello all,

I'm back!!

I picked up a 2018 ABS SE grey, black, orange. It had 8041 miles on it.

I just swapped from stock exhaust to Brocks CT(I wish I knew the old Muzzy M10/14 would fit before).

Anyway, swapped exhaust and now the check engine light is on. How urgent is it that i fit the O2 sensor in the bunghole (hehe, Beavis)or get it flashed or O2 sensor delete thingy?

And who sells the later?

Thank you

If it has an 02 hole for the sensor, screw the senor in the the pipe, plug the connector back on, let the bike cycle for a few rides and the check engine light will go off after about 15 or so keyfobs. If you rather keep it off, then you deal with the code set on the dash, the bike still runs fine.

thanks Hub, wasn't sure if it would still throw a code once it got plugged in.

Where can i find the adapters, as it definitely does not fit the bung.

If the threads are different between the bung and the sensor, I believe you will need to have a bung welded in that has the proper threads. I doubt they make adapters. I imagine the sensor needs to sit right in the flow of exhaust. I'd call Brocks.

I bought one of these until I could get a flash. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-ZZR1400-ZX14R-2006-2017-O2-Oxygen-Lambda-Sensor-Eliminator-Plug/142252115883?hash=item211ee307ab:g:fKsAAOSwOMdZUsIO
Clearing the codes without the factory tool requires a combination of ridding at 25 mph or more and several key offs.
I bought an adapter cable that plugs into your existing obd scanner tool to clear it like a Kawasaki dealer scan tool. https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-2017-Kawasaki-Motorcycle-Diagnostic-Adaptor-6-Pin-OBD2-Cable-Wire-Connector/202923692215?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item2f3f31d0b7:g:~A8AAOSws6ReYd82&enc=AQAFAAACcBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%2Fn%2BzU5L90Z278x5ickkrmmq8hWevtuKE7%2F%2BLfVXtqJChnKF7jBwbaYR%2BgjMdkicsG7lgt0Frq3tO%2FctKoL6kRiPy9zZpEz6qJRm5ksiELdhNU4gCHLPYF%2FMGxj2hzyhoIB%2ByYTxcoi28SvGL3ONQQvWUAc5Yvj%2BEC%2F0aS%2Bajriis5H6S5gd5GSVJTjuU69F5oXJRKoHj8XGbp2NRVt9QRNg%2BRT8tlvAiIei3tnFwLw4T3sVgxw4RSBBnVdm8BDnBel0ZVNUOX3FIFhWFvwHxtiFb22SL2CPqT72DVxmgvsnMisbcUXmk5q05AMBUBvMSzpEK8lx5CE%2FioC45OQE77789B06ky48oH2X8e80SlxTIUNVHdToW9NKq5Sa2QwzHwZZtmBMqQvPZ2gmbTd495NGrfIpPzmcyqgWSdOlSv3CC3WTSmTiJqNE4OyilbN1eWMaXlViceh29YEpo%2B9hLqp5DSS6b1b9DMIfoyDwxjFVwRmbtsnAEvBSNizf0HE6VECdHl4pbHbtGf%2Ba5zqXf5K2TrUS3PDm5FawkpZYppIJZL7rgxcWvatkFlXQgXm2U5lTZjI3mAtUvxzpfuIp9f67rUUMTpP1KtwRPfjNlJKt1TbUwCwFfYRwXn2XOe78Khat%2FmPfxYIdncR2XTmMrKg%2BQLK0vD4YeVuCoL3TfBNJLN5eK4nLq97eq14ip2biPpOvRpzRlYPvwWKGJ3Rh2cMks8driQLh2B54Ouf9JWVl2SgwbTkzBN4HVsO89Kjnh8g9eB%2FbLRzCeDr%2FSza4Ayx0L0U4VT%2FFGXVNqQw5qw%3D%3D&checksum=2029236922150327c9e3851e473896e2401f3d74e37a
