Im looking to buy a crankshaft for my 06. Im certain an 06-08 will fit. I don't believe they changed the teeth or stroke or anything until 2014 14r, maybe someone could school me up on that? But Im looking to get a take out, hopefully not too much damage. Also I am doing the balance shaft eliminator kit. As far as I am aware I will only need to have the crank balanced correct? 2006-2007 - Straight cut crank/clutch basket.
2008-2011 - Radial cuts to the crank/basket.
2012-2014 - Rod and crank throw change of 4mm? 2mm in the up stroke, 2mm on the down.

Straight cut - Noisy
Radial cut - Quiet

Z1 always had that distinct gear noise with the straight cut.
Gone is the classic sound of the mighty Z.

If looking for crank, match the basket, for the gears call the cut. A 4mm crank is out. 2011 on down you're in.
