How hard is it to adjust the APE camchain Adjuster?My stock one is making noise at 7100 miles.Looks easy to instal,just 2 bolts.Just not sure about the adjustment process.

Nevwer adjusted one. Tutorial vids on youtube make it look pretty simple. Turn the thing in untilk it stops rattling then locknut it. That's where it stays until some day when it may require adjustment.

Yes, install is just the two bolts.

Removal of the OEM CCT is also just the two bolts but if you ever want to reinstall the OEM CCT, you gotta remove the head cover so you can reach in the engine case and spring the lock on the CCT piston. NO way around that.

I notice OEM CCT gets noisy when the oil gets to have about 1500 miles on it. I have an APE sitting here. WIll be switching it in sooon.

Adjusting the APE is not too hard from what I have seen on Youtube vids. Take off the timing cover and turn the crankshaft to TDC. Thread APE in until you feel it touch the timing chain. Start motor and continue to tighten the APE until the rattle stops..........something like that.....never actually did install my APE.

Install should be a snap but if you ever want to put the OEM back in that is a job and a half

OEM CCT REMOVAL/INSTALL

Installation of the ape literally took me 7 minutes. The worst part was taking off the plastics. After that, it's unscrew 2 blots, screw in two bolts and adjust as needed.
