Heated Grips...
10/10/12 4:54 PM

Does anyone have these or have heard about someone having these? TRACKSIDE Deluxe Heated Grips

I've bought a pair but have not installed them. I looked them up and I'm finding mixed reviews.

Please chime in IF you have them or any experience with them.

Thanks,
BearsZX72

Well, since you already purchased them, and I make a different choice, I don't have any feedback.

Okay. Looks like nobody bought these grips or has heard anything about them.

Privateer, what heated grips do you have? I still have the grips in the package and can return them. I started looking into other grips on Motorcycle Superstores web site. They have a few different pairs to choose from.

And to everyone else, please post up what heated grips you're running and how you like them.

Thanks,
BearsZX72

These on my ZX14 for 3 years, worked great. I just put Grip Buddies over top of them, so very comfortable.

Hot Grips

And Grip Buddies (best grip covers, period) -

Grip Buddies

EDIT: my Concours 14 came with factory heated grips, but I like Grip Buddies so much I put them over those, too.

EDIT TOO: also, when you order Hot Grips for sportbikes, its best to have them bore the ends out so the bar weights can be put back on. Otherwise you have to use a 1/2" hole saw and put the grip over a 1/2" dowel rod and cut the ends yourself.... without cutting the heating filament.

Well, I put on the Trackside heated grips that I bought! I've had them on for a little bit now and I have to say...

These are crap! I am taking them off tonight! It was around 18*F this morning and my hands froze as if I didn't have them on. I couldn't feel any heat. In the past mornings my hands where okay, but not frozen. I'm going to look into those Hot Grips that you have Privateer along with the Grip Buddies..

I have a new "best grip cover" favorite. Last season I ran my Concours 14 with Original Grip Buddies covers (OGB) and they were fantastic.

Rode from Maryland to Arkansas (NW corner) and back, and they really helped.

OGB now has a better rubber formula, denser, tougher, and I have those now.

OGBs for ZX14

Oh, and if you put heated grips on a ZX14, you would buy the OGB for a Concours 14 because the diameter of the heated grip is slightly more than an unheated grip.
