Each one of these threads or posts makes no sense to me when you know I'm a phone call away and can solve all your issues in a second. So tell me on line here where all can read What Gives ? What is it your Not understanding ? I have thick skin I can take it.
Spill the beans ????
LOL ALL'S GOOD, ROMES!! Actually, your flash is the method I had in mind for increasing the rev limit!
ONLY reason I haven't taken you up on your offer is because I have all the electronics laying here and really want to learn everything about what they do. I didn't even know what target AFR, trims and fuel numbers meant before I got into this and now I know all about them. I know a flash would take care of all of it almost perfectly but then I might never understand what the flash is doing if it's all as simple as pulling out my ECU and sending it off to you. For the guy who considers tuning to be a hassle, the flash is the easy way to reap all the benefits and then some. Self tuning on top of a flash isn't going to amount to a whole lot in most cases unless the elevation is way off. Matter of fact, I'm running your unadjusted map in the video. I think I like it a bit more than my adjusted map. I don't have all your target AFRs in my adjusted map--just one. Multiple target AFRs will be for next season.
The ignition module claims to increase the rev limit. Never heard of anyone doing this with the IM on the 14. I will try but if it doesn't work, my ECU is ALL YOURS, buddy! For now, dig up those timing maps and get ready for lots more questions! NOS will be involved so it will get sticky!
Right now, no need to confuse the issue with flashed values and custom tuning values. If after I am all done with this, I feel I need a flash, you'll do it, you can bet.
At that point, I might even be looking into my own Woolich software if it seems practical. The 14 will have 50k miles on it. Bored out engine may be the next step.
