I need to vent. On Craigslist> 2008 ZX14 for sale. 100% stock. Looks and rides like new. 13,000 miles. $5500. The guy was 95 miles away and said he would bring it to me. Got here an hour ago. First the title had 2 liens on it (dealbreaker) after telling me he had clear title. And the bike was supposed to be silver and it was some weird color instead. Turns out the fairings were replaced with 2009 fairings and the tank and other parts were painted to match by a body shop. The guy stood in front of me and made up one story after another. I kindly asked him to leave before I got mad and did something I would regret. GRRRRRRR !!!!

Be thankful you were wise enough to pass on the deal. My buddy put $5000 cash in a guys hand for a 2009 ZX-14 and it took him almost 3 months to get it titled. The butt-hole seller gave him the title with a bogus lien release. As things turned out the bike was paid for but the idiot lost the original lien release and seemed to not give a darn after he had the cash in hand. It seems like he made no effort what so ever to get the lien release, he stopped answering his phone, wouldn't respond to messages and had no idea how close we were to rattling his lid. We ended up calling the lending institution directly, explaining the situation to them on 4 occasions and finally a title rep agreed to research the info. The info the bank ask for checked out and he was sent a notarized letter stating the bike was paid in full having no lien within days. CL sellers can be cons- thieves and butt-holes
