Front Brake issue
07/20/20 5:34 PM

Hello! New to the forum... I have a 2014 ZX14R (ABS) just replaced my brake lines with Core Moto brake lines. The only parts I didn't replace were the ones that run under the tank because they are steel and I don't see a real good reason to do that. This isn't my only bike and I've replaced lines before. However this one, once they heat up (drive maybe 500 feet or so, the pistons close up and lock the front brake. I can only alleviate it by releasing pressure at the bleed screws. I've emptied the lines, checked my banjos, torqued them down properly, and bled the system both traditionally (pump the brake, open the bleeder, close the bleeder, pump the brake) and with my mighty vac at the bleeder bolts on the calipers and at the master cylinder. The reservoir is not overfilled. Rear brake replaced the cable and it works fine.

The only thing I can think of is if I connected the new Core Moto lines to the wrong ABS leads near the triple tree (reversed) but I cannot find a schematic for the life of me to validate. Right now I have the master cylinder hooked to the upper connector:

There is absolutely no air in the system, unless there's something I'm unaware of.... which there must be. Thanks for any help you guys can give me!

Found the issue. The pin the master cylinder sits in in the brake lever had rotated not allowing it to fully seat so fluid could return. Hope this helps anyone that might have the same issue.
