With Honor and Respect, I require just a small tidbit of your familarity with the great ZX-14 and it's cooling fan circuitry. What in your opinion is the optimal method of manually overriding the cooling fan? If I could find the relay(I thought it was in the tail of the bike with the ECU) and override the trigger signal for the relay and also installing a diode on the OE trigger wire to prevent any undesireable circuit backfeeding, I think that would be key. But, if there is a better method, your wisdom would be appreciated.

So, you are not sure if there is a fan relay either? I have a PMR lanyard/rocker switch combo with leads soldered and shrink tubed already ran from the bars to the tail of the bike. I thought that if the realy was back there, I'd be able to override it with a switched hot lead. Actually, I had already traced the leads from the fan to the tail but what I'm trying to do is not just feed the fan directly, but through it's factory harness. I don't want to put big amprage through that switch. The switch is only rated at 10A, that was the reason why I wanted to trigger the factory relay with another signal.
