Power Commander

I just got my bike back together and in the process I pulled the flies and installed a PC III using Dynojets flies pulled, stock exhaust and air filter. My question is do any of you guy's utilize the PC III accelerator pump feature for this setup? Is their a better map out there or is the one I'm using sufficient for now?

I have exactly the same setup with the same map. It runs GREAT. I'm not familiar with the pump feature. Maybe someone else can help with this part of your question. -bg

I pulled the flies and fitted a PC3 on my UK bike and ran the Dynojet map from the website, it ran very well.

I put it on the dyno later on and picked up a few HP through the range, but the downloaded map was certainly OK.

My dyno man said the accelerator pump feature is a waste of time as it just does not cover enough cycles to make a noticeable difference.

The Tfi has that option. I shut down all 3 pots and used just the accel pot. Felt no assbump like an accelerator would do. In fact, it set the basic same rich flat on it's aasmoother ride but the crisp left the building and I run bone stock hacked the whacked up see one of you linears is it's all over for you is pull over and let me up the tune on mine.

They are tiny pots that adjust the trim. They are like a repackaged, Two Bro racing maybe their on their website you can read up. Search "Dobeck" for the one I use.

Basically they are 4 tiny pots that you adjust with a pocket screwdriver.

Tfi = Adds fuel only. Has a second pot to close the low to mid so that pot does not layer over the mid to high pot fuel and double spray like over it in the mid to high. Only pot remaining is the accel pot.

Power Commander = Has ability to add and subtract fuel trim at rpm ranges. The Tfi is like a faucet with hot and cold handles. Cold will blend with hot say< Or there would be no way to let the hot water flow on it's own. Power commander can flood the low to mid rpm range. Then look at the mid to high and cut fuel on that side to run lean.

See how they [half 2] cut in signals in have you got that? Pg. 3-44 Note: Method splits in 2 feed the generic fuel injection signal.

Think: Idle circuit - (choke) - low to mid - mid to WOT and those are 5 circuits that are in the system.

Tfi ~ bleeds into idle.
PC ~ Can be left out or not (+/-) my idle.

Tfi ~ Needs no map or lap
PC ~ Makes map and needs a laptop to make/install map

Tfi ~ Can be shut down bye closing pots when wired direct to 12v and ground
PC ` Is cutting fuel as soon as you send the key to 12v, the unit cannot be turned off if wired direct.

Note: One website charges for maps and has the dyno to change all sorts of pipe/air cleaners to no cleaners and open pipe is a lot of models and a lot of money for something you can learn on your own. One map is $75 and there is a small window that you can work in. So, trim is trim is time to plus the minus or pot to foul out and stall it. Say you back it up a twist or a minus the plus I know jack about the Pee See; I told you I am no expert is clueless is if you expect me to pay for how to shit in a toilet is I think I will pooper my scooper is deal with my own shitandcabootle is doodle it up your trip pull ah map is members only too, you have to pay the premium. So you have to pay to be a member too is closing on you?

OPEN SORE is open source my her peas is kiss my ass you will. Pay you to foul my plug? HA!

Rasher, Would you consider a "map swap"?

I'll send you my custom map and you'll send yours in return.
Would like to compare those two since the rest of our setup is pretty much the same.

I had my map made from the std. exhaust/flies out map on dynojets site. Gained 9hp on top and a lot in the midrange compared to the dynojet flies out map.

I heard the same thing from a very knowledgable member over at Bikeland. He said the accellerator pump was a waste of money and did nothing.

I think it is bundled free with the PC3 these days, you can just upload it from your computer, then again as it appears it is rubbish I guess being free does not really help much.
