OK Please! all input will be greatly Appreciated!
03/27/12 9:51 PM

So I currently own a third gen 10r...... Love her but will be making a purchase of either a leftover 2011 10r or a 2012 14r. I have sport bike experience for 15 years and must say from my memory that My ZX 12r was the most fun and powerfull bike to date I have owned. In a nut shell from those of you out there that have knowledge as well, which bike, the 10 or the 14, is faster accelerating and powerfull. I suppose according to numbers and seat of the pants dyno. I mean just all out balls. Does one walk away from the other?? Thank you so much for any and all responses:) Please be safe but let her rip here and there!!!

The 14R will be the fastest thing you will probably ever experience. Yes its that fast, the KTRC in #2 really just squats and halls ass its got so much power it lights up the traction control from 40mph in second gear it is insane get the 14R.

I have both. If you want a track bike, get the Gen4 10. For everything else the 14r. The 14r is like a 10r on steroids.

Ok guys one more thing that I failed to mention is that Im 6 feet tall and weight 250. I have seen pics of me on the 08 10r and its my oppinion just from looks that Im too big for it. I feel like I fit well on her but seems like the 14 is more bike for more of me. One more thing to conside is the type of riding I do. Sorry that I have no track experience but in any case within the realm of being responsible as possible we boogie on Sunday mornings. For responsible yet aggressive street riding is the 14 still a choice weapon????

I am 6'-4", so basically I have the same problem. I've seen pics of me and I look too big for a lot of sport bikes.

In my opinion it's better to have something to grow into then grow out of but at the end of the day nobody knows you better then you! So don't be pushed into buying something you are not ready for. It sounds like your no rookie to motorcycles I would say you got this you just need some saddle time on the new kid on the block.

Good luck with your choice both are good bikes but what I will say it's better to date the new good looking girl in town then date the old good looking girl that's been in town who's dated the whole football team.

Funny right? Well that's my 2 cents...

Don't listen to these fools. Pick up the R's brochure. It says in a paraphrase way; "This is the fastest standing start production bike to date.' WOT fool is going to question mother K?

Now, listen to the fools. The rr is light, quick, and is rated at 87 pounds torque? That is golf ball torque. It takes a fool to ride on of these 14's, so dis fool says, if you have 120's pound full of torque, will a bowling ball stand a chance with; we roll one torque turn in the 360° way of looking at torque?

If we let the clutch out, the balls turn one time is the 360; who has the most distance being gone farther [down the road] is the torque curve? Said another way... You need bigger balls for the R. The rr is for the birds [size balls].

... which bike, the 10 or the 14, is faster accelerating and powerful.

The 14R. Take those two balls and now weaR them. Are you still confused?
