Well... first race of teh year is in the bag....I lost by this ][ much LOL... .0124 ( I Put wrong readout in video)
Day started out as maybe yes mabe no..weather was REALLY iffy..I went anyway arriving at teh track about 8:30 and it was impossible to say whether we would run or not.. Very cool to see old friends again .Qualifying started around 11:00 and I was in second row of bikes. I had no idea we were only running 1/8 mile ( cold track and maybe moisture) so after a take-forever-launch of which I wont even report my Reaction Time other than to say that I was 15th out of 17 bikes LOL.
Where was I ..Oh yea Slow RT but when I shifted to second, bike tried to go sideways, just no traction but then I ran teh entire quarter and wondered what happened to the guy in the other lane cause I Flew past him !! He , of course had slowed to leave the track cause he knew we were only racing to the 1/8.. Oh well someone always has to be the dummy..I went and hid for 30 minutes...
At teh end of my Q run, I was seeing sprinkles on my face shield and that stopped teh other 13 bikes until teh weather held good. Sun came out in spurts as we lined up for Eliminations..Always enjoy seeing my shadow !! and it warmed up to probably upper 40s...

I actually had a great run, for me, as I had an .075 reaction time to my opponents .175. He was running a Gen one ZX14 but with everything done to it except he had to leave the nitrous off as Sacramento will not allow Nitrous. Anyway I felt pretty good to do as well as I did . We both broke out, me by.068 and he by .056. I doubt I will see that close a race again for awhile.. I had a camera on my bike and will get it uploaded soon, if it came out ok..

Met some new people who I hope to see in the future and got to spend a lil time with family and friends ..

Mike, me, Chuck, Justin riding a Gen 1 and Tony, also on a Gen 1 , I lost to Tony in the Elims but he went on to win the event !!
