Toad, It is interesting to see what the world is doing for covid. Here in the U.S. it's sort of goes state by state.
I may have to try some adjustable rear sets one day.

Lytnin. I was thinking of doing that with a pair of m4 slip ons on Ebay. They're damaged but the right side had only minimal cosmetic damage. I didn't do it because I was not sure if I'd have any performance gain or loss and I found the full Yoshi system for a good deal.

Nice, and you gained power correct? Shoulda went this route I like the look of the m4 slip on. I was going to use one of those exhaust rain caps and just weld it shut. But your way would of been quicker... and free.

Hello Ladies and gentlemen
I just picked up an 09 ZX
It comes with
A K + N Replacement air filter
A Muzzy race muffler Basically a short empty tube. (see picture) Loud does not begin describe it
A Power Commander 3 and has been remapped for the air system
I would like to go back to the stock pipes which came with the bike
I am going to guess I can not just disconnect the PC Buy a stock air filter and reinstall the stock pipes
Can anyone here please tell me how I should proceed with this

Maybe consider a new single aftermarket can with a baffle you can take out if you want. Hopefully you can find something that mates with the Muzzy pipe. Does it have Muzzy headers too?

And the 1st thing to do is to through the pos aftermarket filter in the can and get a new stock Kawi

PC3 can stay it wont hut anything just run a bit rich if anything

How many miles and do you know the maintance history, the Gen 1 need the valves set around 15 to 20K miles?

That's exactly what you would do.

The PC3 plugs inline with the the throttle bodies harness and the main wiring harness. It will be extremely difficult to disconnect because of the vacuum inside the plugs. I'd just leave the PC3 installed incase you want it later. You can remove the map with a laptop if you get the PC3 software. I would save the map file before eliminating it. Then manually input all zeros in the fuel table or load a zero map. Or you can put all zeros in the target AFR table. Or it must be possible to throw the existing map in the trash. As long as you have all zeros in the cells of the PC3 software when you're done, there will be no fuel adjustments and the bike will run on stock fueling.

At least that's how it works with a PC5. The PC3 has some differences. If you remove the whole PC3, just clip the stock wiring connectors back together and you're back to the mapping in the ECU.

Welcome. Lots of options. Here is mine:
Remove pc. That means you lose no map. That means there is no loop to jump thru with the pc still connected.
Buy 4 new exhaust gaskets for the head. That's twice crushed as is now. Do it right the first time... no leaks.
Buy a new OEM filter. The other is too open to have larger microns slip thru and hurt the pistons, cylinder walls, valve crushes the grit and all that.

This puts you right back to bone stock. Oil looks dirty at the glass window, change it out. What crude said with the service intervals. Owner's manual will guide you with the mileage and what to stay on top of.
