I've used Color-Rite to do individual panels and touch up, but the single-stage urethane I've been using on the old bike projects is what I would use to paint an entire set of body panels and tank.. It requires a proper compressor and spray gun but done correctly makes for a hard, shiny gas-proof finish. As will all painting, prep is 90% of the work and definitely the most important. The Color-Rite rattle cans work OK and their clear is harder than Chinese arithmetic, but you have to do the same prep work regardless of what's used to paint. If your compressor doesn't have one, you would need to add an inline water filter and dryer and keep the dryer filled with fresh purple absorbent beads (they turn pink when saturated). I just picked up a decent cheap gravity-feed HVLP spray gun for $70 at Northern Tool.
