Wiring diagram anyone?
04/29/13 7:21 AM

Could someone tell me which way the green and blue wires of the Bonneville Pro go on? I know it is the blue/yellow wire going to the ECM that the unit connects to. I don't know whethter the green wire goes toward the ecm and the blue one goes toward the wiring harness or vice versa. What am I missing?

Installation:
1. Locate the Bonneville PRO in the rear trunk area. Secure with double sided tape or Velcro®.
2. Route long part of the harness forward along the left side of the bike. Locate and unplug the stock speed
sensor plug. Plug the Bonneville PRO in line of the speed sensor by connecting the male and female
connectors to the stock speed sensor plug.
3. Locate the Blue/Yellow wire coming out of the left side of the ECU (This wire is on the top row about six
wires in from the left). Cut this wire about 2 inches from the ECU.
4. Crimp the provided female bullet connector on the Blue/Yellow wire that goes forward toward the
speedometer.
5. Crimp the male bullet connector on the Blue/Yellow wire that goes to the ECU.
4. Plug the Blue and Green wires from the Bonneville PRO into the corresponding bullet connectors that you
just installed. (The Green wire should be connected to wire going toward the speedometer and the Blue
wire should be connected to the wire going into the ECU)

I still have to install my Bonneville. How embarrassing to have mods that are two years old and still not on the bike.

Hey thanks guys. Looks like everyone got off work and responded! Working on it now. I have a wire that came out of a female pin in one of the connectors that go to the speed sensor and even radio shack apparently does not have those little connector pins. So, I am gonna just try to reuse this one. They are smaller than the ones used in stereo's.

Thanks. I got it finally. I robbed a stout needle from my wife's sewing kit to open the back of the connector.

FYI for all who read this post, please make sure that you look at WHICH Blue and Yellow wire you are cutting. It is under where the toolbox goes as show above in the previous posts. There is another wire that is in the module above that one, toward the back and it controls the headlights. I had noticed that the wrong wire had been cut and the proper one had not, indicating that the previous owner would have attempted to tie in the Boneville Pro to a 12 Volt curcuit! This will fry a 5 volt electronic unit, which is what I am assuming that I have, since it will not power up. Thanks anyway, guys. we tried.

Since I just bought the bike, its not in the budget anytime soon! I'm gonna try to have someone who knows about electronics see if it is repairable, though.

In your opinion what is the wifi jammer used for? Do you have a basic understanding of the knowledge about it? If you want to know more about it, then you can stop your step then you will get the information and the knowledge you want.
