really... there are places everywhere. bikes pretty fast to get up to 6th.
yeah I know but still takes some stones. I cruised the highways at 90-100 a couple years back. That was just ordinary riding. cops will get into your mind if you get busted.
far as shifting. I always shift fast but if I'm just doing normal street riding, I usually don't hit the throttle as fast.
At mid to high rpm I experience a bit of a notchy (bangs in a bit) feeling from 1st to second and second to third. I don't know about the higher gears. I'm doing 130 by the time I done with third and that's about as fast as I go these days. 4,5, and 6 are gears that I am not screaing when I shift. .....sounds like a lot of fun though, I really need to try it.
If I am at all wishy washy on a shift, it might just click back or go to false neutral. That is rare though. The clutch seems to help it go in. My clutchless upshifts with my ignition kill quickshifter requires a definite, decisive and fast footshift. If the shift does not happen in 60/100s of a second, kill time is done and the motor is back at full power. The shift will get kicked back down or go to false neutral and hit the rev limiter.
You can't be a pussy on the shift lever with one of those strain gage shifters. Air or electric is prollly more dependable but gonna ad weight and bulk.
You should be able to shift fast with this bike. It was designed for drag racing. I would say I need to apply more force when shifting at high rpm. That's all. Should click (soft bang) into gear simultaneous to clutch disengagement.
