with a capacity of approximately 1 gallon and a warm-up period of less than a minute, what is the purpose of a thermostat? wouldn't it be more cooling effective to remove the thermostat or replace it with a reduction ring? with the thermostat opening at spec temp of 136-144 F it seems to be unneccessary. I can't imagine water temp ever being below that temp except on cold start-ups.
