installed brake light flasher

Been wanting to buy one of the Blaster-X tail lights but never
seemed to want to part with the $150

Saw one of these the other day and bought it instead.

HealTech Brake Light Pro - $55

Healtech

Has around 12 different settings and does what I wanted it to do.

Was pretty easy to install.

Interesting mod although I'm not sure it's that much effort just to blip a few times. I adjusted the rear brake lever brake switch to turn on more quickly (probably a 1/4") instead of like 3/4 inch. A few quick taps with the foot, does the same thing.

One thing about manually blip is that a) it keeps you focused on riding and b) can be a good indicator that your slacking off and maybe it's time for a break or put it up for the day.

The thing about this stuff is eventually it results in a "rode it for the last 2 seasons with no brake lights and didn't know it" because either the device failed, wiring shorted, etc. Unless you actually do the checks you're supposed to monkeying with OE wiring is usually a stupid idea.

I guess this mod will make you safer, but you will annoy the shit out of any of your riding buddies that follow you.

I will be installing one of those on my ZX soon... I have followed bikes with them and it is a bit annoying for the bike following... but that is great for a car following... you notice it immediately ... Now to get off my rear end and do it...

Nice mod Piken (flasher) I think anything we can do to capture the attention of the person behind us will increase safety. Thanks for sharing
