Ok so I modded the tail section the second day I brought her home.....Now after playing in the garage for a while I'vecome up with the plan for the pipe. From what I've heard Akrpovic is only going to do a slip on and Muzzy is going to come out with a slip on. So I took my AKR and link pipe off the 10R and then thee slip on of the H2 just to mock it up and see what she might look like and if I'd like the look. She looks great for sure. The 10R pipe so so close to fitting it's crazy. I was hoping the chamber on the pipe was open but is not its honey comb real bad. It's so restrictive that I started the bike with the muffler off and she was still quite. I weighted the muffler and with the shields it was 16.5 lbs. here's a few pics of what I'm thinking. Going to cut the cat off and then weld on a small 4" section to mate up to the link pipe and then let her rip!

Honestly...it's killer!You MUST give a total review of what it's like.At first,I wasn't so down with it.But now..it looks totally cool.Updates PLS!!!!!

You got it G! Seriously you can't believe how heavy the stock muffler is and geez the cat is SO restrictive it's nuts. All honey comb completely with just tiny little holes for the exhaust to pass through..... Just the pipe and cat removal between weight and flow is going to be sick! I ordered the header gaskets and if they come in it looks like I may (God Forbid) cut my pipe next weekend! Lol but if I do ever need a stock pipe again I'll order one....but I don't see why I would need it.....

Somefun you should consider mapping for the extra flow you don't want the bike to run too lean and do engine damage. I'm not sure if it is that big of a difference though.

Well I ordered the Akrpovic slip on and link pipe for a 10R and the exhaust header gaskets for the H2. I'm going to try and put a few miles on her before I do it but who knows I might just get on it as soon as the pipe comes in..... Can't wait to see the cat and pipe gone....

That's a major convenience and some nice pioneering work with the exhaust. I suppose the 10 version was a few bucks cheaper than the new but not too different H2 model. I am curious how rich the fueling is at higher power settings.

Rook it's the cat that is keeping her quite. It's extreemly restrictive for sure. I'm taking the cat and stock slip on off. I would have just bought the AKR carbon fiber slip on but I want the cat off also. With the AKR model for the H2 it just replaces the muffler. If your gonna do it do it right and go big or go home! Lol

Yeah but I want to get her flashed because I want Don Guhl to take off the restrictions and turn the limiter up to 14,000 RPMs. With the extra boost from the added RPMs I will need more fuel and that's where Don's tune and flash will come from. Trust me Don is the guys....He's done my 14 and,my 10R and both are perfect!

Finally someone making sense as this will be the real H2. My question will the engine handle the pressure. My feeling is the more alcohol in the fuel the better for cooling the charge at high pressure and rich enough also. Don't forget to pick up a wheelie bar or get good at riding them.

Yeah I'm keeping the stock header pipe (very sexy looking) but cutting the cat off next to the oxygen sensor then I have a small piece of 316 stainless steel 16th thick that is high polish that will be tig welded to the pipe I cut next to the oxygen sensor. Then the AKR ZX10R link pipe will fit right over that and be clammped. Then take off the solenoid that runs the flapper to get her even lighter and then off to Don.....I but ya she'll be all of 240 to 250hp....

Hmmm muffler and piping 15lb saving? BSTs and Li battery another 15 lbs,rear fender turn signal has got to be 2 to 3 lbs.what are your laws on turn signals?Can they be intrigated into tail light
