Cylinders being repaired
11/01/11 1:07 PM

When I get my top case back from Millineuim it's my understanding that the case will be without paint.

Question is: do you think the motor could actually run cooler without the paint? Might be a PITA to keep clean but if it will run cooler then I'll put up with the cleaning issues...

Looks like I should get some heat tolerant paint then, eh?

Romes, have you ever looked into H2O or alcohol injection to keep those pistons cooler?

Yes I have. Thing is I spent all summer getting bugs out while waiting for parts that never came. That killed my build. The Kit alone took 78 Days to get Grrrrr. In Canada that's the Summer Gone.

Was planning to get SB6, High pressure bottle filled NOS with the blow off from shifter into charge tube to cool pistons. If that worked out, up the boost and add the water injection. But,,,,, Winter soon. Time Gone. Dreams.

I was out tonight and I'm just blowing tire off in 3rd so for now less power is what I need. You will see. She's Fast. To Fast for cold pavement.

I'm hoping you will get your bike going and show me the way.

Have you looked at E-85 ? 30% more Fuel = cool pistons. We can't buy it here or I would be all over it.

Water/meth is good.....plus higher octane when injected. There are several kits out there......I have one in storage from Snow Performance ......if I recall.

Thanks Blue... I have seen a couple different kits out there but I don't know what's junk and what will work on the 14. Seems that locating a place on the bike for the water/meth would be the most difficult part. Do you know of anyone who has actually installed one of the kits on a 14?

Where is the tank siuated?
Dont know if you are still using the air inlet system on the bike, is that still standard?, I am looking at making the water/fly trap part of the induction pipework into a tank. Not sure of the capacity but Im sure it would be adequate for a water spray system.I have a pump, control body and a number of different sized nozzles.......controling it my current headache!
