G'day from Australia!
05/20/09 8:01 PM

G'day all,

I've been reading through the forum for the past few weeks leading up to the purchase/delivery of my new black 2009 ZX14. I got to give it a good hard rev (as per the controversial break-in method) for the first 30km and then did my first oil/filter change...only to watch a record rainfall begin that has lasted the past 2+ days!

Finally it was sunny this morning so I took it out and had a great run before work on her (my wife has named her "Midnight"). So far I think she's perfect - exactly what I've been wanting. I look forward to many good times ahead on this bike.

I also currently own a 2007 1400GTR (a.k.a Concours 14) that I have done about 10,000 kms (~6,200) miles on in the past few months (I'm getting ready to sell it now that I have my ZX). It shares the same engine block with the ZX14, but has a few key differences and less performance outputs. I'm thinking after I've done similar milage on the ZX I'll write up a comparo between the two. IMO I think too many riders are on a GTR/C14 that should be on a ZX, and vice vera.

Thanks to the forum admin for creating such a great forum and to everyone for their great threads & posts! It's great to be a member here.

Cheers!
