Once again

So, headed out with friends. This time down Hwy 25 to King City for lunch. 25 is a really fun twisty road best taken at a brisk pace. We met at McDonald's for some horrible coffee and set out. I was trying a brand new Conti Sport Attack rear tire along with new Galfer rear pads. The tire is a 190/55-17
The first thing I noticed was how smooth the bike is with this tire. Almost like a better rear shock. Grip was excellent too. So, down and back was almost 300 miles by the time I got home. The only casualty was my tail trunk. The mounts broke over some bumps and it fell off twice. I transferred my gear and left it sitting under a tree
All in all a great ride.

Yup, that hwy 25 is pussy good. I start in san miguel, indian valley, then 25 to hollister to carmel valley, have all sorts of options. glad to hear your 14 is treating you right with the new shoes and all. ft hunter ligget to hwy 1 via nacimiento ferguson is also good and cool when its hot inland. sorry to hear about the busted bracket bolts tho.

also always like it when you post pics of your adventures. is that the san luis reservoir behind you?

Thanks,
A couple of people had to get back home so we just did a down and back ride. Took a detour around by Hollister OHV area. That's where the trunk parted company with me the first time.
The picture is actually Uvas Reservior in San Jose. There is a nice picnic area there under the trees. It was almost 90 degrees at that point.
I did Nacimiento Ferguson years ago. I don't think I'd enjoy it on this bike.

Well, if Dog got that trunk off my bike, you'll be ecstatic to know that he also sent a friend to give me a GIVI trunk that is TWICE as big. Wait until you see THAT baby!

The bike didn't fall apart. The trunk did. Some of the potholes we were hitting were launching
me out of seat. I suppose I COULD have slowed down.....Naaah

"over rough road, grab tank with knees, rise slightly from seat, slow down"...mama kaw.Glad ya didn't damage any hard parts.I hate hitting stuff like that.I totally avoid roads with a lot of that whenever possible. When I know there's construction or something goin on.
