Yes yes, what kind of luggage. Looks like a nice option vs hard bags. Like the soft luggage idea: less weight and cost.

Oxford Sport Luggage: It is perfect except for the 30-40 bright Blue and red "Oxford Sport Lifetime Luggage" logos that I had to remove or Black out :)
It will fit full camping gear, lots of space, fully expandable.
The tankbag is amazing, I use it every day.

Subaru's are the auto industries best kept secret. Downsizing (at first we thought) from and Infiniti and Audi, the wife and I leased 2009 Legacy and outback. Well let me tell you, pretty damn good cars. They go through ANY climate with ease and my Legacy I got with the manual trans, pretty peppy.
Would we lease a subaru again, now that the economy is getting a LITTLE better. Still have a year left. However, the new body styles are hideous. That alone would sway my decision.

My wife and I both now drive Subarus. I was converted after she got a manual 2005 Legacy GTX wagon, a very rare dealership modded Legacy GT. Full Borla exhaust from the dealership sounds incredible on the turbo 2.5L boxer 4. It was such a rare find, we had it shipped across via rail from out of province Canada.
I agree, Subaru's marketing and now styling is a flop. The new Legacy is hideouse.
Tough, well built cars though, with an amazing AWD system that will take you anywhere, through almost anything.
My cheap, used SVX has over 250,000 miles on the ODO and runs like a top.

I am in British Coulumbia, Canada. The Winthrop Mashall was down in Washington, USA, just south of us.
My wife and I take a summer vacation motorycle trip together every year, and that pic was from last year. I have an affinity for those 1977 Firebirds myself because it was a car I owned in my teenage years.
As you can see in many of the pics, my wife used to ride that blue and black VFR (with ZX14 mirrors). A nice looking bike, but not a good fit for her, and I never liked the V-Tech engine. Now she has an amazing Honda Hawk 650. She had a Honda Bros 400 previous to the VFR, and loved it, but it was a little too small for touring. We searched and searched and finally found a mint condition Hawk. It is a perfect fit and she is one happy lady.
I am looking forward to this years adventure. We will be travelling north this time. Counting down the days now. First two weeks of August. I'll take lots more pics.

Here is Russel(1988 Honda Bros 400):

Here is Dash (1989 Honda Hawk 650):

I'm not sure if I will be buying out my lease as I really do love my car. It depends how negotiable they are on the buyout. If not, well I will no longer be a subi owner. A real shame, yes. The car is incredible and the wife's outback goes anywhere.

WOW, for you IT HAS BEEN ABOUT THE JOURNEY NOT THE DESTINATION!!!!! I remember in my younger years I had the flexability to travel, and I did on my bikes.
I can really appreciate you finding shelter in an old barn. Did some similar journeys myself.

Thanks for the "wow".
It doesn't always get to be about the journey and not the destination, but when it is holiday time and my wife and I get to escape the day to day survival routine, forget about the responsibilities of life and just live in the moment, it is pure magic.

Actually most of my riding time is clocked getting me to work and back, but my commute is enjoyable and it is a great way to start the day and something to look forward to at the end of my work day.

The ZX14 is just such a comfortable, well balanced, smooth and not to forget vastly powerful machine. She puts a smile on my face often. She is holding up really well too, with 25,000Kms on the ODO and only maintenance has been oil changes, tires and just this week, a new chain. My ZX11 made it to 100,000Kms and I hope that the ZX14 surpasses that mark.

I have been riding for 17 years now, and my bike uses to be for many years, my only mode of transportation. Now I have a car that I use for the winter, but the rest of the year, the bike is the only vehicle that is insured, so I ride every day, rain or shine. I have had some amazing rides in the rain here on the west coast of Canada, where we have allot of rain, torrential rain where it is so thick that visibility is fog like. She is not garage queen, waiting for sunny days.
Here are some pictures of me and the beautiful scenery about 1000Kms from home after a 40Km journey down a muddy gravel road in the warm summer rain on my ZX11 a few years back.

The year before last, it rained on us while camping in the bear filled hills

But we were all smiles, LOL:

For our family motorcycling is an everyday part of our lives:
A little escape for my wife when the day with the boys has been long and stressful.
A little adventure for me on the weekend to wind down from a long week at work.
Find a babysitter and have a date night ride.
Or a ride with the boys to let them join in the fun too.

My littlest guy, 1st ride @ 4 years old, he was sooooooooo excited:

My other little guy's first ride @ 6 years old, he was all smiles too:

Me and Raya:

GNice4U: Cheers :)
