New zx14r owner with an exhaust question!
05/17/14 6:01 AM

Hello! I just traded in my 06 r1 on a brand new 2014 zx14r yesterday and can't wait until I get 600 miles on her so I can finally twist the throttle!
I love the bike but the exhaust has to go, I found a guy who has dual rs3 yoshimura carbon fiber slip ons for $100 in good shape, they're for a gen 1 busa though, any chance I could get them to fit? Just hoping cause I thought it was a steal.

i doubt it. seems to me my gen2 busa has a smaller pipe diameter from the collector than my gen1 14. i've never measured, just going by memory.

Also, the mid pipe on a Hayabusa is bent to fit under the bike and stick out the belly pan area. The 14 is a straight shot from the footpeg back.

Get a Brocks CT full system, instead. ALthough it will cost more than a hundred bucks.

Don't think it'll fit but for that deal I don't blame you for trying to make it work. Man that's pretty cheap. If budget is an issue try looking for a used can/s. Seen some good deals on the Bay.

If you want max output, go Brock's.

If you're not concerned about every last horsepower, I'm sure you can get those mufflers adapted to fit your collector pipe at a reputable exhaust shop. I've built several custom streetfighters with nonstandard exhausts and had them all fitted at my local exhaust shop.

2013 ZX14R (Mjölnir)- Brock's Ti CT Meg, 2WDW Flash. 202hp 119tq. RIP

2008 Kawasaki ZX-10R trackfighter - Yoshimura R55, PCV, Servo Eliminator, Traxxion AK20 Cartridges, Penske Triple Clicker shock, EBC HH pads, Pirelli Superbike SC2 slicks, custom subframe, RSV4 tail, Ignition relocate, KX450F number plate, Apex adjustable clipons, CRG levers, Lever guards, Vortex rearsets, Stomp Grips, XT Lap Timer. 188hp, and not as much tq as the 14R!
