Just found this thought I would post it. Sorry to beat this horse just one last time.
Looks to me like the 14R has the connie right side fan like the one I just installed. Or maybe not.

That would make sense black...was it hard to install? How much n do they give you the bracket n hardware? I'm thinking about putting it on mine.

Bought Concours right side fan off ebay $50.00. Fabbed up some aluminum "L" shaped brackets and mig welded them to the top and bottom frame of the rad. Wired it to the exsiting fan so they come on together and done. 2 fans pulling air have to be better than one. have`nt tested it yet though. Putting new stock Kawasaki anti freeze in so I can guage if and how well 2nd fan works. Then depending on temps one mod at a time to see what works best if any.

I just completed this mod to my 08 ZX14, I added a Concours smaller right side fan to my set up just like BlackZX14 up above, got it welded in tight and nice fits perfect and I have tied the new fan line to existing stock fan wire and now I jsut need toi find the correct fuse size to replace the stock fuse. Whats concensus just go up to a 15 or does one require a 20, I dont have any other farkles really except heated grips

No one has confirmed any fuse size they increased to following the mod, resurrecting an old thread hope to see a reply real quick

Fan is still working great! and I did not increase the fuse size. I have 17,000 miles and no regrets with this mod.

Did you put an inline fuse in at ll when you tied the new fan line into the existing single fan and single power connector? I am assuming no, So basically I had the second fan tabs welded in utilizing the one top inner mount w existing fan. Once the other two tabs were added I placed in the identical fan to what you did. I then tied in the new fan line to the existing connector , no in line fuse. I had expected that under the seat I may need to increase the stock 10amp fuse but you are saying you have been all good.

I am at about 52K , I appreciate you reply as I will not add the rad back on fill w engine ice and fire it up. Thanks for the speedy reply as well, this mod will make a big difference for sure

Is there any clearance issues if you use a 2nd stock fan rather than the smaller C-14 2nd fan?

You would probably be ok with another stock size fan but I cant say for 100% sure. What I did was add an in-line fuse from the piggyback to the second fan only. My thought was, if its too much draw or something happens with the second fan, (highly doubt it) that the stock fan would still be functioning even if it blew the in-line fuse to the second fan. Been working great!! I doubt you really need it, but I have some OCD issues LOL.

I can't remember how the OEM fan bracket attaches to the radiator. It either bolts to tabs on the radiator or it uses the same bolts that fasten the radiator to to frame. I think it has it's own tabs.

Anyway, I would not need to remove the radiator on my 08 to get the OEM fan off. Even if it was fastened with the same bolts the radiator fastened to the frame on, I'd just let the radiator hang on the water pipes. It will only weight about 4 lbs full of water. Hang it on some strings if you feel better about it. I do not think you will even need to unfasten the radiator to do what you are wanting to do. Have a look at a parts fiche. DO the bolts for the fan have their own tabs?
