Hot news from dealers - the 2013 ZX10R is getting Ohlins electronic front suspension.
As of yesterday, dealers had the specs on the dirt bike line, the ZX10R, and one of the non-ninja 650cc bikes, I forget its name.
No word on the ZG1400 (Concours 14 ABS) but its a toss up .... just color change versus getting the ZX14R engine. My guess is just new colors, and then 2014 will be the big change, possibly with cruise control and a few other things.
If my various joints hadn't gone to the dogs over the past 5 years, I'd be all over the 2013 ZX10R.
Watching Sykes hold off reputedly better riders to get 2nd place showcased his ZX10R. It was mostly the speed in the straights which kept him ahead, but the reason he couldn't keep up with the BMW is two fold: 1) the brakes and front suspension on the BMW are better, and 2) the BMW can carry more speed through the corners because the suspension is better.
The 2013 ZX10R may close the gap.
