Well-I'm still around. Been reading Bikeland a bit, but mostly have been out of the loop.

I am considering selling the remains of my 14 and maybe get another someday. I still ride my V-max plenty and have a new project......something really different.

I have a car that will donate its driveline to another car. The donor is a 1991 BWM 750iL ($85K new)and the lucky one is a 1971 BMW CS. Out goes the 3litre six and in goes:

5.0 litre V12

I'll still help w/any14 info if I can...........

A challenging project there. Keep us posted about the progress.

With great searching I've located 2 others that have done it. I've contacted the Czech guy to help me out with tips/info.

The motor is just under 30inches wide and the engine bay of a CS is 33inches wide..........there goes the steering box and brake master......custom headers anyone............?

Should be fun........

naw, blue's been working on his 14 for as long as i can remember. when you make a living as a mechanic i can imagine that tinkering around in your own garage can be overkill. hate to see that your dream project 14 will never come true blue. good to see you here too!

Rook...........I met up with the back of a van in bad traffic when my choices were bad or worse(getting hit by a car) - I took the van and a broken wrist.

Plate an 10 screws.

I've been looking into going back to mostly stock plastics - except for the fender and whole tail section.
Being a mechanic I am not motivated much to work at home after 50hr/week in the shop. I sold my 67 Mustang and the above BMW. The garage now houses my V12 Benz for comfy tours and the 2 current bikes. I may well go ahead with the 14 rebuild this fall as I'm itching to drag fairings again and the VMax can't cut it.......
