Well, I've found that I need to replace a couple of plastic tabs that hold the rear tail light fenders to the frame as they flew across my garage when I tried to pull the rear part of the fender away from the frame. It looks like there's a rear screw, front screw (that screws in right by the seat area) and the plastic tabs. I think I just need the plastic tabs, but my stealership says they have none in stock and would require a $250 order to get some more. What crap. When I look at the diagram, it appears as though I need two things, but when I actually look underneath the fender in the middle it looks like I'm only missing one per fender. Anyone?

If you are talking about the left and right tail fairings that each have a rear directional light in them, There are only 2 screws with plastic washers, a push pin and a rubber gromet. Take a look at steps 5, 6 and 7 here fore tail fairing removal.

Glad i could help. On closer inspection, there are 3 screws/ side, not 2. Well, glad you got it situated. Those tail fairings are a little bit tricky. I bet you thought something was lost but it wasn't.
