Wow! We have no scenery like that down here in southwest Florida. I'd have to go up to the Carolina's or Virginia to match that view.

Nice.

Planning on getting some route assistance from you for my fall trip to your area.

The roads on the west side of I-5 are epic, looking forward to checking out some more east.

So I am assuming that washed-out section of 3 is open again? Fantastic stretch of road!

I don't know where are you guys are riding, but I know of a few roads down there are that are must ride roads. If your plans are not set in stone, PM me and I can tell you more.

Hi Chrly,

Nice Vid. Where do you mount your camera? It looks like somewhere on the left fairing? Can you show me the pic?

Thank you,

I would be down for that, depending on the timing.

I usually go down there every Spring and Fall to ride some of those amazing roads.

I live for my annual ride around the PNW middle of Sept. And really want to add more extended rides. My mind is fixed on this, plan for an epic next spring. Coast ride down? Play play play all the way back?

Need,
How your Friday's going? Wanna go for a morning run up Hurricane Ridge? I'm going to trackday at the ridge the 4th but let me know your schedule for a ride? Or a rip around the mountains.

Dave

I have always thought that Belden Ca. on the Feather River would be a great place as central to some good riding.. I think I have some pics of it, Cabins, campgrounds and restaurant/bar straight out of the 50s..

Let's see if this works This is a bunch of pics I took in 2006 of Belden

The resort web page is beldentown.com

I just bought a Helite air bag jacket for long rides and trying it out this weekend ..so far so good..very well made product.

Would like to know more about the above.

Some of the "Air Bag" stuff is starting to come down in price a little.

I was kinda thinking the Helite Air vest over leathers might be pretty good.

Piken.. As I age, I worry more about broken bones than anything.. I like to do IBA rides and have a Border to Border and coast to coast on the list.. I actually completed a 1500 BBG on teh 14 . Because I have limited time, I try to travel lite as possible, There and back and not much looking around :) .. The Helite is actually waterproof, which eliminates the emergency rain gear..I would consider consider teh vest but my track days are pretty much over so the jacket was more towards my riding at this point in life.
I wore it to Weaverville last Thursday for a small rally and was pleasantly surprised that it was not sweaty hot at 90 degrees..It was warm but if I was moving , it was tolerable . I tried to walk away while still tethered once.. no biggie, Realized it before anything happened.. It takes 60 pounds of pull to fire off the bag..
The jacket is heavy ..8 pounds but after it is on, it becomes a none issue , even for a lil guy :) Sizes run very small. I normally wear a Small but the Medium fit me perfect ( 130#, 5'6", not much gut or muscle :)
The gal in the office was very accommodating. She said she would ship the medium with a return authorization slip in the box so I could return it at no cost.
As far as construction , the zippers are good, a lil difficult to open since all the pocket zippers are rubber protected and there are a lot of pockets. sealed but after a day of riding , I was starting to get use to them. It comes with a removable liner but I have a heated that I will wear as needed instead of the liner.

Any questions specifically?

A lil add...Good friend crashed on the street and broke ribs in nine places among other things.. Very close to the end of the line for him and I had been looking at air protection for about 6 months.. His crashed did it for me . I dont think I could have recovered.

Any questions specifically?

Not really, just wondering your thoughts on the equipment, etc.
Do not know anybody who has bought any of the air stuff yet.

I've been looking into it, yes, I think it's a good buy.

I personally would like to see more neck and collar bone protection, which
the air bag does do. There's not much out there for the neck and collar bone.

I'm liking the idea of the vest.

At this point, I am satisfied with the purchase...Next step will be when I actually get caught in a real rainstorm..( I have in the past to the point of near disaster on US Hwy 50) .
