I just bought a used tank on ebay and it still has the original gas cap. How do I remove it? Do I drill out the key hole?

Cap has 3 screws that are real. Sit on bike; look at the triangle points. I believe these are your 3 guys to remove.
Yes, your only out is to drill it.
No, you bring your bike's key [for the blank] and tank to a locksmith. Have a key made to take it off. You now have a spare cap and key. You now can sell a lock with key and recoup tank and key lock salvage. Or, sell your original tank with the used cap w/key.

YW
Hey, lucky you. Speaking about used; mine came with a float. But I had to remove that to try and bang out a dent [add] made it worse so I stopped.
I then found out my float gasket leaked... What's that smell? Yeah, dry [on] it went. I think I'll try some old intake manifold silicone around the poor gas wrinkled boy.
Knock knock on a GenII gasket she is liquid tight with good'ol GM [I can hear the harley squids screaming now I mention] silicone... But not any ol sealer. HarDee Har-Har!
