Tapping/ticking in throttle and pegs
01/14/20 7:40 AM

Bought a new 2019 zx14r, i Have put 2k miles on it since i got it 3 months ago, haven't really dogged it much except a few highway take offs and a few short wheelies, the bike rides incredibly smooth with no vibrations up until 1500 miles, its been getting worse, its mainly when accelerating and cruising between 3k and 4.5k rpms and yesterday getting home I noticed its alot stronger, I am assuming cct or vavles? anyone have any experience or suggestions? Put a wrench on everything you can, maybe something came loose?

Is it a random buzz or cyclic? If you think its cct or valves its a new bike stealership problem to fix

Open the oil filter, spread the pleats, shoot findings and post them. Clean as can be... gotta look someplace else. I'd start there and not ride the bike anymore.

Good idea. This does sound like what we used to hear rod bearing failing on the early Gen1s. Most people just had it let go under hard throttle but a few noticed some warning signs.

oh boy, drove it up to dealer, and dropped it off, went back 2 days later to drop some custom parts off they are gonna install for me and apparently there's a pretty bad oil leak, there's a baseball size pool of oil strait under the bike, its been sitting on the lift since i dropped it off and they havent worked on it yet

Sounds like you are getting a new bike from Kawasaki

Before thinking the worst, did you lube the chain at all since buying it?
