I have a gen 1 zzr1400's seat cover. Mine is a gen 2. Will it fit? Do I have to make cut the seat or anything like that?

You mean the passenger seat cowl like they come with in the US?

If so, I do not believe that is interchangeable. Get a used Gen2 seat cowl off Ebay. minor paint damage, put a sticker on it, half price.

Thanks rook. I got it for free as the Gen 1 owner is a buddy of mine and he pillions quite a bit. He gave it to me for free. I'll return it back to him or sell it away. I don't really fancy that as I have a small net at my rear seat just in case I need to buy bread back home.

try it out first. I don't own a gen2 so i can't say for sure but I believe this topic has come up in the past and if memory serves, the answer was NO.

My bike is a Gen2 Philippine version. Doesn't come with a seat cowl, came with a passenger grab handle instead. I found an old Gen1 seat cowl and used it on the Gen2 seat temporarily until I found a Gen2 seat cowl (they were hard to find at first, bike was still new on the market). The Gen1 seat cowl fits on the Gen2 seat.

No. Used Gen2 stock seat, no modification.
