Looks good, Bobby. Howe do you like the beaded seat? Seems like it would be similar to sitting on marbles, but I've never tried one.

At 1st I thought sucked then 50 miles down the open road I forgot about it and figured out that I could go thru a tank of gas and not get but burn. The Connie seat is a 100 times better than the stocker but still does not take long before the touche starts feeling it.

I put them on Shell's 919 and the beemer then took it off the beemer because I could not get comfy. Her 919 is great with it.

Butt does not sweat and nothing crawls up the butt crack yet the Corbin tractor seats on my ZRX's with no beads don't make the butt sweat and you can for ever with them. Downfall is they be one ugly seat.

I like how you've done your bike and I think I'm headed in the same direction. Looks really comfortable for doing some long distance sport touring. How do you like the LSL risers? Did you try the Heli or Gen Mar before going that route? How does the Zero Gravity work compared to stock? Sorry about all the questions but I've had my '06 for about three weeks now, riding it from Atlanta to San Diego in 6 days for a total of almost 2500 miles. It's bone stock and I actually stayed pretty comfortable averaging around 400 mile days.My throttle wrist got a little tired and at the end of the day my neck and shoulders a little sore.(I'm 58 years old lol) I plan on doing some sport touring on it and your set up seems the way to go. Just wondering if stacking the Heli/Gen Mar risers is worth it or go the extra mile with the LSL risers. Thanks,Mike

I'm going to jack this thread.I have the LSL risers and bars,Zero Gravity tall smoke shield and concours seat. The shield is 4 1/2" higher than stock and is so much better can't compare.Everything together is great but the shield gives me so more miles.

Hi Blue, I stacked and double stacked risers and still did not like them. Problem was all I ever had was naked standards and the 14 was still to much on the wrist on up.

LSL kit and added 1 in risers to them C14 seat Corbin peg lowering kit touring screen Throttle Miester Lowering links with center stand but had to modify/lengthen the stock links so the CS would work

Lowered the front but did not like it so back up they went and now it is easy to live with

I am 56 5'11" 240 lbs

Mike,

The droop of the stock bars bothered me more than the actual height. Risers wouldn't have done the trick no matter how much they raised the bars. The p.o. of my bike made his own bar adapter plate and I added some Renthal alloy bars which I bent in sort of a flattrack-style pull back before bolting them up. The best thing about an LSL-type setup is you can use any bar you have enough cable and line to reach. If the droop doesn't bother you, try the risers first. You can always sell them and they're a lot cheaper than the LSLs.

RE: beaded seat cover.
In 1997, for a New York minute, I worked for a company called Apria. Its a home Med delivery company: LOX, hospital beds, chemo drugs, etc.

One interesting item we carried was an APP... alternating pressure pad. Its an inflatable mat for hospital beds to combat bed sores.

It works by using a strong aquarium compressor to inflate and deflate channels built into the pad. In this fashion circulation is maintained. THAT is my enemyon long rides: I can't change the blood "en mein arsche".

If there was such an implement, would you guys spend $50 on it?

@Craig: told you that ZG screen is the berries, yes?

;)

The Roho Airhawk is an inflatable seat pad for motorcycles. Roho started out (and still does) making wheelchair pads. I know a couple of guys who swear by 'em.
