Gipro ATRE

Removes the timing restriction in the lower gears. Indicator (blue led) shows proper gear number. With the tre, the stock LCD display only shows "N" or "6" $50+shipping

Here's a pic:

There's a piece of velcro hook on the back.

Looks like new! This is the G1 with a larger display.

Where does this hook up on the bike? The couplers look just like the ones I have for my SpeedoHealer.

What are the exact dimensions of the case?

I have the original instructions to go with it. The indicator is 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 7/8" deep. I had it mounted below the mode buttons on the fairing support. The former owner had mounted it OVER the buttons to make it easier to see, but that was bs, so I changed it.

Thanks for checking on that Danno. I planned to stick it over the gear indicator on my stock instrument cluster and run the wire around the top of the speedo. Let me take some measurements and see if the G1 will fit. Get back to you on this thread later in the day.

The indicator is 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 7/8" deep.

Those are the dimensions of the black case right? not the screen alone?

I'm sure all flashes have timing restrictions removed if you want. A flash would add/subtract timing in each gear map. The problem is that no one knows for sure what the timing is. The Gen1 timing maps were not viewable with flash software. So locking in a gear map without timing restrictions is still the best timing derestrictor as I see it. There was a Gen1 stock timing map shown on this forum but nobody knows how reliable that info was. Also, a GIpro makes the gear indicator display more visible.

Danno, sorry for being sluggish on the measurement. I trailered the 14 down to my new home and now I'm back in the old hometown for a day or two. I will get a ruler out and measure my display ASAP.

No probs on my part. I will be gone for a week riding in Colorado until after Labor Day.

A re-flash is a relatively new modification. I don't think they were on the market in 2007. They haven't put Dynojet out of business yet in any case. The ATRE is a plug-and-play horsepower boost that anyone who can disconnect and reconnect an electrical connector can do in their own garage without sending anything anywhere or disabling your bike for more than a few minutes. I don't think it invalidates a warranty like a re-flash or a piggyback might. All it does is make all the stock horsepower available in the lower gears a lower rpm where most people ride.
